Let me tell you about a strategy I'm using to generate long term passive traffic & income. It's incredibly viral (if you do it right) and the real beauty of it is the content is created for you...so it's super quick to set up.

Here's how...

Step 1.  Content Creation

Let's say that you have a blog or website about weight-loss.

First off, go to Clickbank's Marketplace and check out the top selling products in the dieting niche.

Once you've found a product you like that pays a decent affiliate commission and has a strong salespage, search for the merchants contact details on the salespage and write them down.

Now here's the fun part...

Ask the merchant if you can interview him or her by email. Explain that you'll send 12-15 questions and compile the answers into an ebook to then sell or giveaway.

And further explain that you'll allow others to rebrand the ebook with their affiliate link for the merchants product and sell or give it away too.

This is a huge benefit for the person you interview and if they've got any business savvy at all, they'll bite your hand off for such an opportunity to increase their sales.

Provide Value

Once the Clickbank merchant vendor has agreed, keep the momentum going by emailing the questions as soon as possible.

But before you do, keep in mind it's essential that the interview isn't just a blatant sales pitch for the interviewee's clickbank product.

So ensure your questions are open ended and encourage thoughtful and detailed responses that provide real value to the reader.

Remember, the ebook should only act as a soft pre-sell for the merchants product. Your primary focus however should always be to provide valuable and informative content that your readers enjoy.

If the ebook just comes across as a shameless promotion, other marketers won't redistribute the ebook and it won't go viral.

Step 2.  Compiling The Ebook

Ok, so once you've received the answers back it's time to compile them into a pdf format ebook.

For this, I highly recommend you download OpenOffice. It's a 100% free suite of desktop applications including a word processor called Writer, which we'll use to create the ebook.

Just open up Writer, and copy and paste the questions and answers in.

Remember to add your affiliate link when the merchants product is mentioned ocourse.

However, if your interview subject mentions it a lot in his answers, just hyperlink a few so the ebook doesn't look like a total plug-fest.

Ofcourse you'll also want to place links back to your own website(s).

Think hard about where you send them. You'll want to make the most of all this free traffic coming your way!

Personally, I send my traffic either to my online marketing blog or I try to capture leads using a squeezepage.

I'd recommend placing a large hyperlink back to your most important site on the very first page plus a small hyperlink in the footer of every page.

And track the links so you can measure exactly how much traffic each link is generating and which link locations perform the best.

Use Benefits

But don't just put the name of your site as the hyperlink text. Write some short benefit-led copy to induce your readers to click through.

For example:-

"Discover How To Play Winning Poker From Top Pros Here"

"Watch A Free Video Tutorial On How To Install Wordpress Here"

You get the idea!

Ok, so once you've added in all the links, and formatted the text, just hit File->Export to PDF and save the file.

Congratulations...you now have your ebook. That's all there is too it!

Now there's one last thing to do before distributing the ebook...

Step 3.  Making The Ebook Rebrandable

By rebrandable I mean that the people who download the ebook will be able to add their own affiliate link for the merchants product.

Be Generous

You can also allow them to rebrand the report with a link to their own website on the first page if you like. It's up to you. Just remember the purpose is to get others to distribute your ebook around the web so be as generous as you can.

The rebranding tool I use is called Viralpdf.  It's quite straightforward to use as long as you follow the documentation and it's very versatile too.

Once you've created your rebrandable ebook, you should provide some instructions to your ebook readers letting them know how to rebrandit with their links

If you open up the reseller package, you'll notice I created a seperate short little "How to Rebrand" pdf instruction document.

Although it's extra work, it really is worth doing this. By making it as easy as possible for others to start selling or giving away your ebook, you dramatically increase your chances of success.

Step 4:  Create A Salespage (Optional)

To hugely improve the chances of your ebook going viral, consider also providing ebay sellers a ready made salespage and/or a squeezepage.

The Lee McIntyre ebook reseller package I mentioned above includes both a salespage and 2 different squeezepages. But that additional effort has paid off handsomely because it's already being sold on eBay by several different ebook sellers. Just do a search for the word "McIntyre" and you'll find them. And others are using the squeezepage for the ebook to build their list.

Here's another example ebook I created outside the Internet Marketing niche, which also follows this exact strategy.

Help It Go Viral!

Now creating the salespage and squeezepage does require some extra work, so it's not mandatory. But consider carefully whether the additional viralness the ebook gains is worth the extra investment of your time. If you're promoting high commission products then it could well be worth it. Only you can decide.

The best trade-off in my opinion, atleast to begin with, is to create a simple squeezepage to bundle with your reseller package.

If you don't know how to create a squeezepage, you can hire someone to do the work for you. I personally recommend Steve at Planet-Divinity.com. He does fantastic designs (he can also create your ebooks' cover graphic) and his prices are super competitive too.

Step 5:   Send Your Ebook Viral!

Ok, so your ebook and reseller package are ready. Now all that's left to do is start distributing it around the web. Fortunately, there are plenty of ebook websites that will do this for you.

There are dozens of other good ebook sites too. Just Google "free ebooks" or "rebrandable ebooks" to find them.

The Links to Free Ebooks section of the WarriorForum.com is also recommended if you have an ebook in the Internet Marketing Niche.

Finally, you can always just start selling your ebook on eBay to help get the ball rolling.

So that's it.

You have successfully launched your first viral ebook. Congrats!

Now it's just a case of waiting for your brand new ebook to get passed virally around the web and start generating you long term autopilot traffic and passive income.
